Yes. I do feel other people's feelings. I do this quite intensely; I feel it even more with people emotionally closer to me.
I used to find stores, especially stores with aisles, very disturbing because I would feel the feelings of anyone as we are approaching each other in the aisle.
I am very relieved to now be able to block/access these types of experiences as I wish.

I've had an exercise which relies upon the strong "intention" to shield oneself from these types of experiences.

It is a very easy visualization:

Imagine an egg-shaped bubble surrounding your entire body. Fill the bubble with bright light. State a strong intention re: what you intend for the bubble to do for you. An example might be: I intend for this energetic bubble to protect me from sensing the feelings/the energy of other people.
It may help to repeat this visualization daily or even 2x daily. Feel free to reiterate the exercise and /or the intention as frequently as you find helpful.

This may sound silly to some or to all! I was taught this by a group of very reliable/talented/gifted psychics. (I mean the types of confirmed psychics employed by the federal government in order to solve crimes, etc.)

Take whatever you find helpful and leave the rest.

Love to All
Not silly to me at all. I find this technique to be incredibly helpful especially in crowds. I cannot remember exactly who taught it to me. I've studied a number of subjects that focus on energy work and this method was included in those teachings along the way. I'm a technology geek and it reminds me of a firewall.

I used it this last fall at a county fair when I was overwhelmed by an endless stream of people walking around me. I also used it at a crowded flea market a while back when I was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of people and physical things that surrounded me

If you're sensitive and you've never tried this it is worth practicing. For me, it helps me not to feel overwhelmed and drained at the end of an experience. It also allows me to connect more in the moment with my kids, or husband or whoever I intend to share the moment with.

Thanks for sharing this effective and easy to work with tool WC!
