ArtleyWilkins I'm glad that you are at least able to go out for a walk. We live in a small gated community outside of a town, so we also are able to get out and walk the dogs around the neighborhood. It's helpful to be able to get some air. We're still not on total lockdown, but we minimize going out when possible.
I am trying to be positive about the things I can be thankful for. For example, we moved about a year ago to this area. The area where we used to live has had a lot more cases and is much more densely populated. Our old street had duplex houses with everything very close together. In general, it is harder to avoid people there because that is the capital city. I am also very glad I am a freelance worker and am completely set up to work from home. I have pre-existing respiratory problems, so I need to avoid getting sick as much as possible. They are talking about cordoing off the municipality where we used to live due to the high number of cases. Basically, people wouldn't be able to get in or out.
My husband is now on telework. Unfortunately, our backup laptop just died. We took it in for service, but parts aren't available. His work doesn't have the capacity to get people computers in these circumstances. I also work from home and need a computer. Yesterday was frustrating. My time is more flexible so I was the one that ended up working until late, since he had to be online at certain times. Today, fortunately, he doesn't have a shift and we ordered a notebook that is going to arrive tomorrow, so that is good news at least.
