There was just as much angst when the forum was created as there is now that its original purpose is being enforced. People have a hard time with change, especially when it surrounds a deeply personal and controversial issue such as religion. That was the risk of creating this forum in the first place.

Nowheretorun is right - it will pass. Nobody will "stop fighting" because of a post asking people to stop fighting. Those who are grieving need their time and space to grieve. Some might leave as a result of this enforcement, but many others left because the forum was created in the first place. You can't please everyone... we just need to respect the feelings of those who are grieving and not expect them to change overnight.
