I can certainly identify with what you are going through. I went through something similar awhile back. Wish I had something useful to suggest but sadly I don't. The passing of time seemed to resolve things in my case although I was quite uncomfortable for quite awhile.

The human brain is so mysterious and seems to have a mind of its own sometime.
