Same here, SD. Little libraries and all. When the city first started closing down, there was a flurry of ad hoc food delivery volunteer groups springing up, not connected to the community kitchen or food banks. I was uncomfortable with the idea of @ 100 more people running around to grocery stores shopping and delivering groceries. I just wasn't convinced the increased contacts and widening networks wouldn't do more harm than good. Most of those have calmed down as the established non-profits have closed to volunteers in favor of in house staff. So now $ is the best way to help. Most of the non-profits have switched to drive through pick-ups and expanded Meals on Wheels deliveries. I think it's safer.
Thanks for this!
