My company has always allowed for remote work -- they're pretty lax about it -- so for my company at least, I don't expect any layoffs. I hope your husband does not get laid off though.

My sister may get laid off. I'm not sure. She works in the corporate office of a big retailer, and they've shutdown a lot of their warehouses and are minimizing what people can buy online. So, they're basically not making any money and probably won't for a while. That may lead to layoffs.
I hope your sister is spared being laid off.

It's hard to know what will happen to my husband. His company's business depends not only on domestic "customers" but international ones, with a large percentage from China P.R.C. The "customers" must gather together for what my husband's company offers. That obviously hasn't happened for a while, especially in China, though life in China is just starting to get back to normal again. Also, part of my husband's department's work comes from a "product" that will be fully taken over by another organization in NYC vs. where we are.
