So basically, let's assume that someone with coronavirus packed your item. So they got their coronavirus germs on your CD jewel case and then they got their coronavirus germs on the box after they taped it up. If they ship the package today, then in 24 hrs, the coronavirus on the cardboard will have died off, which means the outside of the box will be safe to touch. However, the inside of the package will remain infected. Thus, you have to wait 2-3 days *from the time it was packaged* until you touch it. So if they ship the package *today*, then the coronavirus will die off on the cardboard by Wednesday evening, but it will remain inside on the plastic until Friday. However, since you are getting your package on Sunday, the coronavirus will have worn off two days before you even got it.

So my recommendation is to look at the tracking info to see when it *actually* ships. Do not open it until 3 days after that date. But also, do not touch the box right away after it's been delivered because if the UPS or FedEx guy has coronavirus, the cardboard will become reinfected with FedEx/UPS corona germs. So, pick up the package with gloves and bring it into your house, but do not touch the outside with your hands until 24 hrs has passed.
