I try to keep it simple.
A package arrives.
I take it to the garage.
I write the date on it.
3 days later I can open it!
If I happen to "need" it sooner, I take precautions.
Just had a large grocery order arrive. Had to wash everything before putting it into the refrigerator/freezer.
