The house we use to live in/owned was, when it was built, in the country and there was an older house on the spot that needed to come down. So, the fire department asked to use the old house as a training/practice fire to burn down, and did. However, apparently the apple tree, one of my favorite parts of my front yard 30+ years later, caught fire and no one thought it would make it but it did. We sold the house and moved 2-1/2 years ago and the last time we were back that way to look at the house, maybe 6 months ago, the new owner had cut down the apple tree
