Well there are different things to consider.
Do you want to be involved in helping your mother get well enough to get out of the hospital?

Do you want to work with the staff to help them manage your mother's situation and act as long term background information? For this you could ask to talk to her social worker or case worker at the hospital.

Do you want to be involved in helping your mom get out of the hospital and living independently again?

You may want to talk to your therapist or trusted counselor that can help you look at these options and what has happened between you and your mom to see what steps make sense to you at this time.

This could be an opportunity to work some things out with your mother but may also be a painful time for you.
