So I work with medical researchers and we create materials for these kinds of things and I will tell you that nothing existed for this. Medical professional societies are scrambling to make recommendations and create the proper training materials that are accurate. Unfortunately a lot of what you see flying around social media is inaccurate or incomplete and leaving out important information.
I know we're working day and night right now to get the right resources to clinical staff across the country. Everyone is exhausted and with the changing situation it's very challenging. Plus there is a limitation on funds. New funds are for development of therapeutics and vaccines, not for training materials for providers or education for patients. Except prevention is the first step and that requires education! Ug.
