How do you know when it's time to go to a mental hospital? I don't even know where one is in Los Angeles, much less one my health insurance accepts. Recently my psychologist had me fill out a new form that says during each video therapy session I must tell her where I'm at and where the nearest mental hospital is at. I don't see any listed in my health insurance books, so I just provide an ER (emergency room) hospital phone #. I read that an ER will take people who've attempted suicide, but would like to know what they do with them.

Anyhow I stopped taking my meds a few weeks ago because I was tired of my psychiatrist refusing to do refills, but suicidal ideation has become almost unbearable. I started taking my meds again. Hopefully everything will be okay.
