I am vegan. You can get protein from tofu, nuts, Quinoa (pronounced kind of like keen wa).

Here is a good website for proteins outside of meats if anyone is interested. Toward the middle starts a list of protein content of some vegan foods. Underneath that, it does have also the protein content for meats as well.
