So I have the choice of re-starting (where does that leave my previous weeks??) or trying to get ahold of them on phone. Called. Oh, they only work M-F. Of course! ****ing avalanche of claims and they can't be arsed to put staff on weekends. One of my housemates LITERALLY called 400 times (yes, 400) and still landed on hold for 2 1/2 hours. So, what is it I'm supposed to do if I can't get through to them within the 5 days they give to accomplish this before they drop my claim?? I STILL haven't heard back if they have my correct address. Nor have they given me the claim number that I would need to be able to check that online!
WHAT A ******* cluster****!!!!!!!!!
I mean, I *get* that they're snowed under and things will take extra time. But when they require special numbers to access basic information (why??) and stop you in your tracks with wrong info to boot, WTF am I supposed to do?! I'm NOT expecting income! Where the hell did they get that from????!!!!!
TG I'd saved a bit of money up or I'd be 100% screwed.
Sorry for the rant, but I need someplace to vent this. I am absolutely FURIOUS!!

sorry to hear that.
the irony is that there would be more jobs (and thus less people filing for unemployment) if they hired people to work on the weekends.
I hope you're able to get help soon. I guess the only thing you can do is put them on speed dial and call @ 9am (or whenever they open). I did that with an electronics company I was trying to get help with. their estimated wait times were 3 hours when I called @ like 10am, so I put them on speed dial and called them @ 9am the next day until they picked up the phone (because I kept getting a message of "please call us during our normal business hours between 9am until 5pm" at like 9:02am).
