Hi, I'm sorry you're in that terrible place in life. I am definitely not an expert and I have been out of the mental health field for just over half a decade so my information is probably dated. I do recall that an LCWS could diagnose in my state, but it had to be confirmed by a Ph.D/Psy.D or MD. Best to check with an expert though. It does seem like you are getting a wide and inconsistent variety of diagnoses. I don't know for sure what you're facing, but I understand that those with BPD may inaccurately feel that they are being neglected or that people don't care about them.

I do hope you find some answers or at least some camaraderie and empathy here.

I've been commenting that I have a friend who has many issues, BPD probably being one of them. Like your situation, that was about as incompatible as could be. My emotional depth is very shallow so I had no idea where his emotional outbursts were coming from, nor could I comprehend the intensity of them. I am very good about picking up on social cues though and I could see it coming at least.

What else does the LCSW do for you?
Thanks for this!
