I'm sorry you have to bear that stress of uncertainty, AceRimmer. Have you started to do any research to prepare for such a possibility? Obviously there are many issues to consider.

My husband still has his job, but a few weeks back his employer sent a mass email to employees saying that their jobs "are safe for at least the next 30 days". Prior to the stay at home order, nine of his colleagues had been laid off. It's definitely possible that more layoffs are on the horizon. It's certainly possible that my husband will be laid off. The question is if they offer severance packages or not. The nine that had been laid off got them, but who knows what future people will get, if terminated. This is anxiety-provoking because we had not planned on this. My husband had wanted to retire in three years, but if he's let go, the tentative plans we had will be totally changed. We cannot afford to live where we do that well even with him having his current job. Without his job, we will have to leave.
