Sorry about the rant. I’ve been reading a few posts which made me think of the lack of “help” in this forest irl (imho)

Feel free to ignore this post. It’s just a rant since no therapist irl will listen to me

One of the doctors, a GP, who I asked to refer me to therapy said no... and the reason she gave was that the treatment providers “catch” mental disorders from their patients. And this makes the treatment providers unhelpful.

This was over a year ago. Another GP just said “no”. A third GP threatened to refer me to the “mental health team” but said that therapy was “not a good idea”.. Why? Cost. Every life does not matter in this forest. (Irl) I find it dangerous, personally, consulting these people. Dangerous to my “sanity” and also dangerous to Papa bear as he becomes so distressed (this has happened over years...) At best they fob me off with “polite” lies. At worst they use scare tactics and abusive labels. They have made me doubt myself and even my “sanity” at times. This is a prehistoric forest I live in and not where most here are located.

If I tried to tell a professional in this forest this Truth they would likely just label me again (probably wrongly) and maybe try to force meds on me. I have already tried seroquel (I became allergic to it)

I have had a benzo refill. A doctor did not ask to speak to me (I’m grateful for that)..I might try to cut down on these as they give me rebound anxiety during the day. I think maybe they also affect my mood negatively.

I’m just trying to “get by” without help from the providers since all they offer is labels (or in an extreme case “hospital” . This has never been an option for me for a few reasons including having been abused by nurses in the past. And I also have 2 family members who are nurses who are abusers.

There is something very Wrong in this forest with how professionals are trained imho. They do not treat patients with respect. If someone has a mental health disorder, bipolar, CPTSD, severe depression, GAD, anything at all they are treated as less than the judging professional. Call me paranoid if you like, I am not.

Respect and kind thoughts to all
