Anti-depressants for anxiety usually need to be at higher does than for depression so you can reach the 'anxiolytic' (suppressing anxiety) effects.


It is advised that you stay on the maximum dose for at least 13 weeks to properly stabalise, and from there you can see if it starts to help.


It's a long process going on and off meds, trying different ones etc. But when you find the right one, you'll be happy you pushed through.
