It is a great thing. We could also stand to learn a lot from our own people. We work in verticals that do not work together. Industries have boundaries and the experts within them tend to stay in their own lane. We rely on experts in particular fields or verticals to design the systems and yet they do not typically have expertise in system analysis and design. That makes zero sense to me. Also, when experts do speak up with better ideas we silence them.
We have to be willing to break these systems down, look for root cause of failure and then reach across the table to other verticals, other countries and really anyone with strategically sound thought and restructure what is broken. There are a lot of systems in the spotlight at the moment that need this same level of care and redesign, but In don't want to derail this too much.
