The announcement was made by the president on Friday that this week they had to go back. No planning whatsoever, no indication of protective gear being provided. So far, my husband is still working from home. Their agency has a legal resolution not to go back until the end of the month. He says this has more force than some random announcement. May 1st is a holiday, so he's probably looking at May 4th at the earliest. I really hope that by then, there is some sort of plan in place. The courts say they won't open until May. Since their work is closely related to the court system, there are a lot of limitations on what they can do.
Today someone from the health ministry backpedaled somewhat and said the return to work will be gradual. What would make most sense is to at first not allow people to come into the office in person. Then maybe make it by ID number, alphabetically or something to prevent too many people arriving at once, with some exceptions due to emergencies.
We seem to be trending well, infections per day staying in the 300-400 cases a day, even with increased testing. I really think they need to keep most things closed down for a bit more to see where the numbers go.
