I have to admit that I was inspired much of the time spent at Philmont, the National Boy Scout Training Center/Ranch in Cimarron, NM. My avatar is one of the pictures from that time. To see the sun rise/set midst the mountains, and realize that those who finagled and bought these pieces of property so long ago so that all Scouts/Scouters could appreciate the glory that God put there were truly inspired to do so.

The deer walk through the camp at various times of the day. There are apple trees throughout and of course the deer are munching and crunching them. What gorgeous creatures they are. I see a loving creator's touch on them. With the Elk I see some of the same softness, but more of the firmness and strength that I'm sure we are also to embrace.

One of the best times was during evening vespers, the open air chapel built just along the deer path, and they mosey along as we worship in spirit together, enjoying each other's friendship and fellowship, though strangers the week before.
