It depends on how you classify it. Since you're asking the question, how do you feel about it? The only person you're accountable to is yourself, so if you don't want to consider it, then that's okay.
I've learnt many distinctions on the topic of self-injury, and one person's definition won't fit someone else.
So, is what you did harmful? Yes... Is it going to permanently injure you? Did you achieve the desired effect/emotion that you wanted/needed from the action?
Can I give you an example from my point of view?
Once upon a time, I decided to stop SIng. So I did... and then I had a bad day, and decided to take a sharp object to myself. That didn't bleed, didn't leave any scar and was gone within 2-3 hours. I didn't count it as SIng, and so I didn't reset my "counter" .... and now I'm over 1 yr, 2 months.
