Hello Tammylou: I see this is your first post here on PC. Welcome to Psych Central. And thank you for bringing your concern here to PC.

As has already been said... absolutely... what you are doing to yourself is self-injury. Other terms that would apply would include self-harm as well as self-abuse. Given all of the harm you are doing to yourself, I would think the thing to do would be to find a psychologist or a mental health therapist who can help you to understand why you are doing this to yourself & (hopefully) how to stop.
