Short version: I've been having rectal bleeding for almost a week now. I thought it was from hemorrhoids, but those are getting better yet I'm still bleeding a lot. (Staining the water dark red and the sides bright red.) Today, not so much, but last night it was a lot twice. And its been bright red blood which is better than brown because brown means old blood and that could mean its coming from higher up the digestive tract which wouldn't be good. My primary called me back and wants me to be seen in the ER, but she said she was going to page my liver doctor (because I just had blood work done recently) and call me back. So I'm still waiting. I really don't want to have to go to the ER, but my primary dr said its better that than go to the office only to be told I need the ER anyway.
