You mentioned that " I'm afraid of not being able to fall asleep" during the day. I think you can try CBT cognitive behavioral techniques that will help rewire these thoughts. You can try repeating through out the day that "i am going to have a peaceful sleep" or " I will enjoy sleeping tonight". During a very difficult time in my life I experienced something similar and it was a nightmare just to go to bed. However using this method worked for me. There is someone on YouTube that uses sleep hypnosis that I have used many times and I knock right out. I hope this helped and good luck.
