Well, I was raised in a very male-dominant household with four brothers who had a sense of entitlement. I don't think any of them have an agenda...they are just not that aware. I also think that sub-consciously they cover for each other...it's kind of like a boy's only club.
I have always had the role of scapegoat. I am the one who calls attention to idiocy and ignorance. That's really what the scapegoat does...rocks the boat.
