This is my first day on the forum, and my first message, so I say hello to all.

As a middle-aged single woman who never wanted kids or pets, I find it very difficult to make friends my age, or to be able to spend much time with my married-with-kids friends. Most of my newer friends are in their 30s, which I judge as "wrong," not that there is anything inherently wrong with it, I suppose. My best friends seem to be the ones I knew before my BPD presented; I tell I have it and say "sorry" once for any times I'm a bit off, such as my hypomanic and distractible days, and they accept it and love me. I can count all those friends on one hand.
