I got my permit at 15 1/2 (my Dad tought me how to drive from the time I was 13....on empty roads in the middle of the desert)....loved to drive from that time...still do.....must since I have made 3 2200 trips in the last 5 months 9 (California > Kentucky > California > Kentucky). I probably have several more trips to take to get everything else here.

You do remember the 10 & 2 thingy with the hands.....that has actually gotten me out of so much trouble .....many times. I have owned everything from an old VW bug (my first car) to my super sports Supra that liked to cruse at 120mph. Loved the turbo conquest (black & gold)......the time I blew past the CHP that had someone else pulled over.

You gotta be careful about passing the sheriffs however.....he was creeping on the freeway & my car just couldn't take it anymore at 55mph....poor baby was getting boared besides, I thought that only the California Highway Patrol would give tickets on the freeway.....wrong. I had just moved to my new home in the area which was the only thing that saved me....got pulled over & he looked at my license.....said....new in the area......we have a gentlemans agreement here...we don't pull you over...you don't pass us.

I've been pretty lucky with the ticket thing.....have been pulled over quite a few times....like last summer when I first moved to KY....I was driving the hwy at 70....normal speed or CA....it was by the county fair & I heard a siren.....I'm looking all around for the ambulance....look in my rear view mirror & it was the city police......I pulled over to get out of his way & he pulled over in back of me.....oops. I was driving a rental at the time with KY . He looked at my California license & laughed....told me that 70 wasn't the speed limit here like in Ca & please slow down.....see you around.

Of course, the real funny one didn't have anything to do with driving. I had let my doggie out for his morning potty walk out the front door.....& decided to play fetch a bit with him in my PJ's & robe. He fetched all right....took the toy right out to the tree by the street & left it. Just as I was walking out to get it, the sheriff drove by & stopped to see if I was ok.....lol....guess I looked pretty lame since it was about noon & I was still in my PJ's robe & slippers plodding around my front yard......he just has to get used to the new person on the block...lol.

I noticed in your profile....you live on Saturn's right ring.....I don't think I'll have to worry about crossing your path....I'm living on pluto....lol.
