You further went on recommending GAPS diet, which IS elimination diet
. “The GAPS diet theory says that eliminating certain foods, such as grains and sugars, can help people treat conditions that affect the brain, such as autism and dyslexia.”

Ok. I suggested an "elimination diet" to assess what the triggering foods are. I also suggested the "GAPS diet" as a theraputic diet. There's an elimination portion to it, yes, but there's a lot more involved than just removing a triggering food. It's a 2-3 year healing protocol. I've done both with success. They are both very different from each other. Once you complete the GAPS successfully, the triggering foods no longer are problematic once you heal and seal the gut lining. It very much is about repairing the brain while repairing the gut. We have a reputable university here who conducted a study on GAPS because of the successful results it's had on individuals with Autism. It's not specific to Autism, though.
