Sorry to hear you're having so much anxiety.

After a horrible situation at my previous job where I was let go, I started doing freelance writing work in late December. I think what has helped is to really pay attention to the feedback I get from my client. She notices and appreciates that. I also keep checklists at my desk that I run through before I turn something in.
I've done tutoring/private classes before. In that case I really tried to make sure I was prepared for the session. When possible I had them scan/send any material they wanted to focus on beforehand. I'd also make notes during the class to give student when it seemed like it would help. For example, with English classes I would make a list of any new vocabulary that came up. If I noticed there was something they really need to work on, I'd bring some materials to the next class to cover that topic.
