An interesting day, to say the least... rioting and looting just a couple miles away, with gangs breaking into upscale stores at the downtown mall, smashing windows and leaving behind obscene graffiti. National Guard troops just arrived to (try to) keep the peace. While I knew there are protests nationwide, I didn't quite expect them to hit so close to home and be so violent.
