I was doing some reading and journaling as tools for mental/emotional self-help so that's great. However, the stress of it triggered more head and body pain. I'm giving myself a chance to practice self care, take it easy for the rest of the day, and self sooth. I'm giving myself a "job well done" for choosing to have foods around that are soothing but not junk for times like this. I'm not at all ready to tackle my emotional eating, but I can keep comforting foods around that won't make my physical health decline.
