You could take a mini-break from T1 to see how it goes - e.g. how you feel towards both Ts, how your work is going with only seeing T2 etc.

This way you could make an informed decision as to how to proceed i.e. either taking an extended break from T1 or quitting T1 altogether.

PS: A good T would not be upset or hurt at a client leaving. You need to do what is in your best interests and an ethical T would fully support you in that.
