We want you to be safe, bizi. Clearly your psychiatrist does, too. Sometimes we don't realize how unsafe we are, and we need others to take care that we remain so.

There were a couple years when my husband kept all of my medications, except one pill box, in a safe. I did not, and still don't have the combination, even though he's long since kept it unlocked. There was a good reason. A very frightening reason, including for my husband. It resulting in one of my hospitalizations. My husband worried that I would die as he rode in the ambulance with me. It's common to think that "That would not happen to me," but it all too often does.

Please be careful with the Klonopin. What seems like still a small dose is sometimes too much. It was only a couple months ago that when picking my refill up, the pharmacist warned me not to take it at the same time as prn Ativan. Definitely alcohol is a no-no. It's really serious! I could tell some very very scary stories about mixing my medications with alcohol. No exaggeration.
