I don't have the back story, and I guess eventually I'll stumble on it. No matter. I'm grateful to Ms. Santos, Yale, Coursera, all of them for having this course available at no charge. I'm not so sure I would have paid as I prefer face-to-face and there's just so much good stuff that's gifted into the internet.

I've been delighted with the course. Santos kept circling back to "miswanting" things like great grades, high salaries, material stuff as missing the point. After a certain level of income, one most of the patient students listening to her would easily reach with their Yale degree in their pockets, more doesn't lead to happier.

What does? Meditation, exercise, sleep, savoring experiences, gratitude, setting up your environment to support your happiness. A couple more in the mix. When I needed a month's project on the good stuff, I picked gratitude.

I just went back and finished the course. Well designed, thought-thru site, not many issues on my side (though other learners reported several doggedly frustrating ones).

My pre- and post- scores showed a decrease in wellbeing. I have a long life ahead, anyway and will earn back more happiness.
