With help ( thank you WC) I was able to get paper work on Living wills and download it last night, We discussed it, we just need to fill it out tonight , I am not sure any banks here have open offices, most are drive through so Im not sure how to get this notorized , but if not we just need 2 signatures, I would like Notary so that there wont be any issue with his sons if Steve doesnt make it.
My daughter wants to come up an be with me if he needs to be in the hospital but its a covid risk I cant take right now. If he doesnt make it I will need her then, I really will need her then.
Steves middle son is in school to be a Pilot and he is needing to take a instrument exam and the earliest test opening is 4 months away. Here he could get it done in a few days....He lives in Miami. He still is logging hours and will still be doing more even once he takes that test. Chaise said he could come up here and he ( steve) would just wear a mask 24/7.. Under non covid plague id have no problem with his son coming here for test, He came up for 2 months to get his initial one engine pilot license as it was half the price of doing it in Miami. But we can not take the risk . This infection Steve has ? Its got a 60% morbitiy rate, There is no way he would survive covid on top of it.

I am so sorry you guys are in this total nightmare, Christina, but I did want to just say one thing about statistics and you know this, because of your background. These numbers, percentages, they don't apply to individual patients, right? Becuae, for example, when I operated on a gal who had metastatic melanoma all over her body her "survival" was less that 5%. But for her, in this case, it was actually 100%--because all her tumors magically disappeared on their own. A miracle, I guess, but the point is, those numbers don't really mean anything to Steve. His survival could very easily be 100%, too. Just wanted to remind you of that, even though I am sure you know it. I know it is hard, btu he could very well totally pull through this.
Hugs and prayers, every single night for you guys.
