Or just a disposition of a certain individual?

I want to blame my bipolar for my short fuse..and it sounds like an excuse..Hey, I have bipolar...frig off. Or I am Borderline.

Do you ever blame your dx for your actions? I struggle with knowing if this is JUST ME..or if it is because i am diagnosed with 2 seperate serious mental conditions.

That's a tough one...definitely one of those times when a mental health professional would need to take a history, observe, and diagnose. Any number of mental and/or behavioral health disorders can cause anger issues. Or none. Maybe someone is just short-tempered.

I don't ever use my diagnoses as an excuse for anything, mostly because I don't want people to know about my mental illnesses. I don't think very many people understand mental illness; they understand me even less, and I don't want their opinions on how I should "treat" my mental illness. But then, that's why I spend almost all of my time with my cats, not with people
