It's something I can't control and I have to trust them to be wise about their safety. At least their block is not inside the zone but it's not that far awa - it's walking distance. If you don't mind saying a prayer for them that they'd stay healthy and safe I'd appreciate it.

HI journey,
I do understand your concern. At this time, the word is , and the cameras show, things are mellow now. Cameras have been all through the zone both last night and today. I saw people walking and some dancing. The police station is a mess; yet, beyond that, I think things are okay?
The mayor has been on camera several times in the past 48 ours and she is relaxed and is allowing people to have this zone for awhile, let them work out their feelings, while going to listen to them re: their concerns. There is also at least one officer in plain clothes, spending time with the crowd, hoping to learn more about their perspectives on the whole situation and on what changes might need to be made in everyone's best interest.
The mayor jokes that Seattle might have a "Love-In" at that location all summer long. She is extremely relaxed.
I think this is all great news. (?)
I hope the info I have is good representation of what is truly happening.
It certainly appears to be the case as cameras wander the area.
I hope something about this might help you to relax and to get a good night's sleep.
Much of what goes on lately is quite disconcerting, I agree.
Take care
