It’s important to have a good connection with your therapist. It is a relationship, and like every relationship, has to have certain elements there to make it work.
I have had many therapists over the years, and have found it only takes a session or two to know if you can work together. It might help to have some ideas about what you want out of therapy and talk about them in your initial meeting. It is an interview of sorts, and you’re the one doing the hiring.
Seems to me you’ve given this one plenty of time and it isn’t working out. Her personality won’t change in a face to face session.
