We didn’t want to take Pacific highway all the way down from Redwoods NP to San francisco so we took highway 5. We already went up on Pacific so we wanted to go down faster using something else

We didn’t know it will go up and down mountains. Ciscu (sp?) mountain and Anderson grade summit. I’ll never forget it. When we came down I threw up and went inside McDonald’s for the bathroom and lady asked if I just came down the mountains because I looked like I saw ghost. It was so bad when we were up there my boyfriend at the time yelled what that stench then he realized it was him sweating so profusely. Lol We were both shaking like a leaf. I never cussed so much in my life

It was not even that high up, just how highway was going like a serpentine.

My brother once passed out skiing in Alps (and that’s like twice higher up than CA). Lack of oxygen got him bad, wasn’t as much fear. For us we were just petrified that we will fall off, there was no border or nothing. That highway 5 was a he$$ on earth
