I am definitely a negative thinker. Try to keep in mind now something that makes me be more positive.
What if, what if I live in a universe that is trying to do right by me. To get really trippy some teachers of the LOA suggest that everything -- EVERYTHING- is formed from a universal "substance" and that substance activates to make what the consciousness focuses on. So the universe is me, I am the universe, and there is no reason the universe would want to do bad things to me... I am part of it.
The negative part I think comes from really feeling a strong emotion, generally more than one human. Such as, the Titanic. They literally went around advertising that thing as "unsinkable" and making sure everyone knew only the rich and powerful would be on the maiden voyage. And, do you know that the way it hit the iceberg was a 1 and 1000 shot. It was unlikely to happen but it was the ONLY way to sink that ship... and it happened. My theory was that regular people (the human consciousness) probably was saying in their heads... unsinkable huh, I hope that thing sinks... never really thinking it could come true. But it did.
Here is another one... Apollo 13 was supposed to have a mission running during Friday the 13th of April and people generally didn't want to have that mission during that time during to suspicion. You know what happened. But also, guess what day it happened on? Friday April 13th.
