I do this, however: for me, I don't think it has much to do with coping
I think for me it's more to do with what foods my body will accept, what foods it won't.
I am a very picky eater (always have been, my hole life) and it's led to my body rejecting certain foods- like: if I try to eat carots or salad, I just gag and be sick (and it has nothing to do with the ssmell, it's just because my body doesn't accept it)
then: in turn, I've learned that if I don't eat foods my body accepts, I go hungry
and I don't want that. been their, done that. suffered the conciquences
