So if your heart is not in translation.....well you need a plan B. Can you support yourself right now....like enough cash etc even if you’re at home. What have you written? Any of the artsy jobs at least initially require a day job. Before you quit school for good though put your writing out there and see if people like it....this could be as simple as a blog but you need to see if you can find an audience. Sometimes having that kind of outlet is enough sometimes you need more.

Just a word of caution....I love doing paintings but it’s only mediocre so I couldn’t do it professionally....loving something isn’t always enough for that......
