Better strap yourself in, you can't hide
Blast off into outer space
Into zero gravity, we'll be out there in some place
And it will eventually feel like we're underwater
Although I hear the thunder and the world seems like it's on fire
I skipped sleep tonight
And I sit here and write
But we'll be OK
I never see hope sometimes, it's blinding
But hey, what matters is the timing
My mom once showed me a silver lining
And I will remember it from this day to forever
Put your hands in the magic hat and pull the lever
Down the rabbit hole but we must keep ourselves together
It seems like we can't see
And I don't know if this prose is bad for you, but it's mostly about me
I suppose it won't make you feel worse and instead, set you free
It's about what I'm dealing with, to you from me
It's all quite messy to be honest
Dear Mother Earth, I maybe have lost it
But can you forgive me?
If you choose to forget me, wash me away with the sea
Because I get it
The spirits lent it to us

I am sorry you are struggling, Des, but you should probably further expolre this obvious talent for poetry you possess. Awesome!!
