(((Jennifer)))) I'm glad you return to PC when you need real support.

It is "normal" to have stronger feelings at the anniversary times...but they can diminish over time too.

Since you are already mindful of it's approach, it is a good time to plan those days around it.
Don't schedule anything out of the ordinary that would cause more stress.
Do plan something that will keep your mind busy and off the event, if you can.
It doesn't matter whether you stay home, or go to the movies for the day, do what feels comfortable and safe.
If the best you can do is stay in bed and pamper yourself and not give a whip about the rest of the world, ok...just try to keep your mind occupied, and when you find yourself ruminating back over and over the event, work at stopping those thoughts. (There's nothing there for you, hon.)



The goal is (for the future) to not feel the effects of that day, as it is in the past, and today is the present... each year work at not recognizing the date...
