Along the same lines, when I was in college, around 1970, I was talking with one of my best friends about rock 'n roll. The Beatles had just broken up. My friend believed that the big names of the future would be his favorite groups, Rare Earth and Ten Years After. He felt they would be on top of the charts for many years. I disagreed. I told him that Elton John would be at he top of the charts, and be one of the most successful reording artists of all time. He felt that EJ would be a short term success, and then we would never hear of him again!
