I don't have OCD but I have read about it. So all my answers are based on that.
1) The symptoms are different from person to person as there are different types of OCD and all have different compulsions.
2) Yes, there are differences in severity of OCD as some people have mild OCD and some have severe OCD symptoms.
3) In Contamination OCD or Counting OCD people repeat the stuff.
4) There is a therapy called ERP therapy in which you have to expose yourself to the thought which you get. You can read this article to know more about ERP Therapy
5) There are many symptoms like depression, fear, anxiety, compulsive behavior, repetition, intrusive thoughts
6) If they are able to notice the repetitive thing you do than it might bother them.
7) Only some types of OCD are noticeable. OCD like contamination OCD in which you wash your hands again and again.
8) Yes, you can control it. The only way to deal with it is to control your thoughts.
9) As I don't have OCD but one of my friend has it and his family member are supporting him.
10) I don't know what really triggers it.
