I know - excruciating for me, too. I am a person of action, but the proper "actions" evade me often because the response I will get from him is not that of a rational person. People often have very well-meaning but trite and high-level advice for what I "should" do, but the concrete steps are where I get stuck. The advice is easier said than done - the hard part is defining the detailed plan.
