My doctor had fused my lumbar spine from L4-S1 in 2018 and the pain had subsided until last October. After taking a big fall in October of last year, I am in constant pain again. It doesn't feel like the center of my back like before. It feel like my left sacrum, hip, and front groin area now. My doctor thinks it is from disc and nerve damage in L2-L3. He's recommended I have the Intercept procedure done and we are waiting for my insurance to approve it. Has anyone had this procedure? It is fairly new and isn't widely practiced yet. It involves going inside the disc and ablating the nerves inside there. The doctor who does the procedure says it is different than the other nerve ablation because that just goes in the epidural space. I had x-rays and stuff done to check my hip and that all turned out fine. Any experience with this appreciated.
