Seeing that list on Monday at my scope appointment really got to me. Ive lost 40 pounds and I intend to lose another 40 to get to my target weight. That will help with several of the medical issues but especially the pre-diabetes and liver issues.

My pdoc is going to call me on the morning of the 15th. I guess she will tell me to go back on seroquel but thats easy for her to say- literally- its another to combat all these medical issues. I also have hypo thyroid from lithium. I was taken off that but not until I had a very high lithium level and was in the hospital. Boy did my pdoc ever appologize profusely for not checking my lithium level the last time she'd seen me! I hope she doesnt just order me back on Seroquel. That would upset me.
HI Moose. Why must your pdoc order you back on Seroquel if you are doing fine? I assume you are taking other bipolar medications? You didn't quit everything, did you?

Forty pound loses are amazing. I am sure that has made some difference for your health. Certainly more weight off will. I was once pre-diabetic about 9 years ago but haven't since then after losing some weight and maintaining most of the loss. I also developed hypothyroidism from past Lithium use. That's never going away for me. It may have even been somewhat genetic, too, as a couple women in my family developed it even without Lithium. I can't speak for others, but as long as I take my Synthroid, it's really no big deal to me. The pill is even tiny and cheap and gives me zero side effects.
